LOCAL INTELLIGENCE SERIOUS RAILWAY ACCIDENT:- On Saturday a man named William Southall, employed on the Earl of Dudley's railway, met with a serious accident, by which he sustained a compound fracture of the thigh. He was attended by Dr.Corbett, the surgeon, to the works, who found it necessary to amputate the injured limb. We understand that the poor fellow is progressing favourably.
